Cookie policy

What we store on your device, why, and how you stay in control.

Last updated: August 19, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Coronet Treasure Limited uses cookies and similar technologies on coronetcoffee.co.ke, in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act, the EU ePrivacy rules and international good practice. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

01What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies include browser storage (localStorage), pixels and embedded content. They help websites work, remember preferences and understand usage. Cookies set by us are "first-party"; cookies set by other services whose content we embed are "third-party".

02What we actually use

We keep things deliberately light. This Site uses:

  • Consent preference (first-party, essential) — a single entry in your browser's local storage named coronet-consent-v1 that records your cookie choice and when you made it, so the banner is not shown again. It contains no personal information and stays until you clear your browser data.
  • Embedded Google Maps (third-party, functional) — the map on our Contact page is served by Google, which may set its own cookies when the map loads. Google's use is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • WhatsApp links (third-party) — choosing to continue a conversation in WhatsApp takes you to WhatsApp, which applies its own cookies and policies on its platform.
What we do not use: we currently run no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking and no third-party analytics on this Site. If that ever changes, this policy and our consent banner will be updated first.

03Your choices

When you first visit, our banner lets you choose "Accept all" or "Essential only". Essential items (like the consent record itself) are needed for the Site to work properly and remember your choice. You can change or erase your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings — the banner will then appear again on your next visit.

04Managing cookies in your browser

All major browsers let you block or delete cookies and site data through their settings (usually under Privacy or Site Settings in Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge). Blocking some technologies may affect how parts of the Site function — for example, the map on our Contact page.

05Changes and contact

We may update this policy as our Site evolves; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Questions are welcome at [email protected].
